What You'll Do
- →SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as the primary Watch Specialist for Joint Task Force North (JTF-N) Joint Operations Coordination Center (JOCC) watch team to coordinate with interagency elements and provide situational awareness to the command in the execution of the mission.
- →The JOCC Watch Specialist monitors multiple missions throughout the US Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) area of responsibility (AOR), and maintains situational reports, tracking of elements on the Common Operational Picture, develops and processes multiple reports, and coordinates all official messages through multiple DOD systems.
- →DUTIES: Serves as watch specialist for operational events.
- →Stands a regular watch in the JOCC to monitor the JTF-N Area of Responsibility (AOR) and to react to various types of events, which may have impact om National Security.
- →Administers information systems and metrics databases in the JTF North Joint Operations Coordination Center (JOCC).
- →Supports the Common Operational Picture (COP) manager integrating all operational command systems providing situational awareness in support of Army, Air Force, Marine, and Naval forces conducting Counter Drug/Counter Narco-Terrorism missions throughout the continental United States, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands in support of Local, State and Federal Drug Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs).
