About the Role

The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for an Training Technician (Spinal Cord Injury). Training Technician (Spinal Cord Injury) will function in the Spinal Cord Injury Service.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, promote, and develop educational programs and projects by stimulating activity and providing direction to staff and learners.
  • Primary service ADPAC, onboards and sponsors all learners and section employees.
  • Talent Management System Service Level Administrator for the Spinal Cord Injury service.
  • Designs a program for the area of assignment by analyzing the need for personnel, facilities, supplies, and materials, prepares budget requests, stimulates the appropriation of fiscal support, prepares a program plan, and provides ongoing advice and assistance in the program's implementation.
  • Develop and administer training registration activities, including the oversight of manuals.
  • Analyzes registration processes and determines when changes or modifications should be made throughout the system.
  • Provide regular status reports to management regarding the usage and effectiveness of the system.
  • Provide advice and assistance in the implementation of educational programs/ projects to include quarterly Hub and Spokes meetings, the bi-annual Spoke Practicum and yearly Spinal Cord Injury Conference.
  • Provide input to the implementation of an educational program/ project which is designed to meet the needs of a limited operational environment with clearly precedent program activities.
  • Coordinate educational program/project activities such as meetings, conferences, information gathering, and conducting negotiations for various aspects of the program/ project.
  • Perform work related to the preparation, execution, and/or tracking of agreements or contracts covering educational training programs within an organizational unit.
  • Acts as unit safety representative and also completes environment of care rounds.
  • Secondary Records Liaison for Spinal Cord Injury Service.
  • Gather data and prepares materials which are provided to Spinal Cord Injury Service leadership for review.
