This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Facilities Services Directorate (FSD), Facilities Operations and Services Division (FOSD). The incumbent serves as a Utility Systems Repairer Operator performing maintenance, and repair tasks related to, RDF Chiller Plant and the Pentagon building mechanical systems. as directed by the Plant Supervisor and/or General Foreman's.

- →Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Operates and monitors chiller plant and building mechanical systems using direct digital controls (DDC), local digital controls, and manual controls.
- →Observes alarms, system parameters, and instrumentation readings and addresses abnormal operating conditions.
- →Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, HVAC systems, steam and hot water systems, compressed air systems, and related mechanical equipment.
- →Isolates, de-energizes, and restores systems as required.
- →Diagnoses causes of improper operation and equipment failures and initiates corrective actions to restore systems to operational status.
- →Documents maintenance actions and system status in the maintenance management system and plant logs.
- →Complies with safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and provides guidance to lower-grade employees as assigned.
