About the Role

Training Coordinator position is located in the Office of the Chief, Health Administrative Service (HAS). Employee is responsible for performing task in support of the development of training plans for new employees in all section of the HAS Service. Under the direction of the Chief or Assistant Chief, HAS, employee performs work in direct support of assessing educational needs.

What You'll Do

  • This announcement will remain open until the closing date, 06/26/2026, or when the applicant count is reached, whichever is earlier.

  • All applications submitted that day up to 11:59 p.m. eastern standard time on the date the applicant count is reached will be accepted and considered Major duties include, but are not limited to the following: Utilizes various training styles to train diverse types of employees with differing education levels.
  • Assists employees in achieving mandatory training hours by suggesting job related TMS courses.
  • Identifies and determines training priorities, conducts and administers training programs, develops and improves training guidance, and conducts classes or other group-setting instruction.
  • Develops and modifies courses and researches and recommends new or alternative training sources for a workforce which performs complex duties in diversified areas of patient administration.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates training courses and programs related to scheduling to assess their quality and effectiveness.
  • Identifies and determines training priorities, conducts and administers training programs, develops and improves training guidance, and conducts classes or other group-setting instruction.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint software to develop training tools and materials.
  • Utilizes the Veterans Health Information System and materials.
  • Utilizes the Veterans Health Information System and Technology Architecture (Vista), Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS), Talent Management System (TMS), Vista GUI, and other VA operating systems to perform regular duties as assigned Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30:00am-4:00pm Telework: This position may be authorized for telework.
