The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Director for Strategy, Resources, Acquisition and Development at 724 Special Tactics Group in support of a Joint Sub-Unified Command. Incumbent is responsible for formulating and implementing long term investment financial strategy, program goals, plans, and policies for the directorate's mission.
What You'll Do
- →DUTY 1: Directs plans, organizes, and manages the programs and activities.
- →Receives broad policy and program guidance from the OSD, HQ USAF, MAJCOM and Joint Sub-Unified Commander.
- →The incumbent independently plans and carries out duties, determining the scope, and objectives of assignments and resources required and applying originality, insight, and creativity in the identification and resolution of problems and development of programs and policies that directly support major mission(s) directly affecting national security.
- →DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
- →Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO and diversity objectives.
- →Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards.
- →DUTY 3: Represents the Combat Development and Resources Directorate with outside agencies, including Joint Sub-Unified Command, DoD, USAF, Interagency and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with HQ USSOCM Directorates, USCENTCOM Component and Joint Task Force staffs, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) FOIA office, the Joint Staff J-8, HQ SOCOM Comptroller activities, other Combatant Commands, Contracting Offices, commercial/academic research institutes, DARPA and Allies.
- →DUTY 4: Leads executive level engagement and communication with other managers in the Joint Environment, OSD, USSOCOM, interagency, HQ USAF (HAF) Staff, Joint Staff, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and National Laboratories.
- →Works closely with Joint Directors, USSOCOM Directors and Interagency Directors and HAF Directors, on strategic plans affecting functional capabilities in the special tactics group.
- →DUTY 5: Provides executive direction, oversees, synchronizes and executes long term planned and programmed financial appropriations to ensure mission accomplishment.
- →Directs the formulation of enterprise annual program plans, spend plans and supervises the allocation of approved resources to procurements, technology development and investment acquisition areas to satisfy identified capability gaps and/or validated requirements.
