About the Position: This position is located at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth Virginia in the Radiology Department. Incumbent will serve as a Supply Technician and perform a variety of Supply Technician duties within a Military Treatment Facility (MTF). This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Maintain complete inventory management of all items necessary to supply the radiolody department.
- →Maintain current purchasing information and catalogs.
- →Issue supplies and equipment to radiology staff while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- →Monitor stock levels and identify shortages to prevent disruptions in patient care.
- →Use automated supply and inventory management systems to process requisitions.
- →Coordinate with vendors, medical logistics department and clinical staff to resolve supply issues.
