The Assistant Chief Supply Chain Officer (ACSCO) will be responsible for the development and integration of a cohesive supply chain; supports oversight, guidance, management, and integration of supply chain operations, including planning and coordination with fiscal, acquisition, clinical and administrative operations. The ACSCO will manage a major part of the Logistics Service in the SCM program with the direction and opinion of this role having the same authority given to the Service Chief.
What You'll Do
- →Major duties include but are not limited to: Integrates logistics and related support and services for the supply chain, expendable/nonexpendable and capital equipment, inventory management, storage and distribution operations, total supply support, and in some cases transportation, mail room, and reproduction.
- →Exercises supply chain management responsibility for the coordination and integration of new technology and/or implementation of new supply/equipment requirements.
- →Exercises knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and, management information systems and utilizes broad knowledge and skills of organization functions and activities to provide logistical support.
- →Involved in all levels of sourcing, procurement, and logistics management Coordinates and collaborates with a variety of stakeholders, including clinicians, professional/administrative peers, suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers.
- →Serves as logistics management authority for the VA Health Care System, which includes community based outpatient clinics and other health care activities dispersed over a geographic area.
- →Serves as liaison to the VISN, Office of Acquisition and Logistics and the VHA Procurement and Logistics Office; participates in the Network Equipment Committee, and oversees the Facility Recall Program.
- →Forecast planning and budget execution for supplies, subsistence, durable medical equipment, medical gases, expendable/non-expendable and capital equipment, inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation and distribution.
- →Performs all others duties assigned.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
