About the Role
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do
- →Follows Veterans Health Administration (VHA) policy requirements and develops local systems to identify and track post 9/11 Service members/Veterans (SM/Vs) served by the facility and community who belong in this special priority group.
- →Serves as the facility point of contact for all inquiries regarding transition of post 9/11 SM/Vs and as point of contact for post 9/11SM/Vs seeking health care from the facility.
- →These duties include a wide variety of stakeholders (e.g., Veterans, families, state and community agencies, Veterans Service Organizations, military support programs, etc.).
- →Incumbent addresses Congressional inquiries and Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Central Office action items as requested.
- →Coordinates comprehensive program elements and services for preventive mental and physical health evaluations for program participants.
- →Promotes and coordinates evaluations for the M2VA/TCM Program anywhere within the facility and any outlying Community-based.
- →Prepares program reports for the VA Central Office, VISN POC, and Medical Center leadership.
- →Monitors procedures for referrals between the VA medical center, Military Treatment Facility and/or community hospitals that promote appropriate and timely inter-facility transfers.
- →Responsible for management of the Military Treatment Facility referrals and other identified post 9/11SM/Vs located in the catchment area.
- →Ensures registration of appropriate Veterans for clinical, administrative, and outcome purposes.
- →Collaborates with Enrollment and Eligibility staff to ensure access to care.
- →Establishes performance and outcome standards for the facility M2VA/TCM Program that promote quality and efficiency of services in coordination with the overall goals of the medical center and those of the VISN and VA Central Office.
- →Work Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
- →Work Schedule may be subject to change based on agency needs.

- ✓Must pass pre-employment physical examination.
- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
