About the Role
Housing and Urban Developing / VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) is an intensive case management program for chronically homeless Veterans aimed at providing psychosocial services to Veterans while residing in stable housing through HUD's Section 8 voucher system. The incumbent is responsible for monitoring all phases of programming and coordination of case management services for Veterans receiving housing provided through HUD Section 8 housing vouchers.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent is administratively responsible for the clinical programming and daily operations of the program.
- →Develops policies and procedures for program operation and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use.
- →Duties include but not limited to the following: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HUD-VASH program.
- →The incumbent may be responsible for the program's budget and various control points assigned to the program within the assigned areas.
- →The incumbent manages and controls the use of data related to these programs regarding day to day functioning and program evaluation.
- →The HUD/VASH Supervisor is practicing at the advanced level and has specialized knowledge of practice that can be differentiated from the independent practice social worker by the ability to expand clinical knowledge in the profession.
- →Performing the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised.
- →Incumbent establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
- →Observes workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques.
- →Provides informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance.
- →Incumbent is able to resolve informal complaints and grievances.
- →Develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary.
- →Incumbent provides Establishes a process for referrals and admissions to the HUD-VASH Program, ensuring that homeless veterans are considered as primary participants for program acceptance.
- →Verifies the veteran's status, eligibility for VA medical care, and eligibility of program participation.
Requirements

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
