About the Role
The GEC Program Supervisor oversees a group of employees performing at the GS-12 level and below, including advanced practice social workers, and social work program coordinators and supervisors. The incumbent provides administrative, technical, and clinical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
What You'll Do
- →Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs the administrative and personnel management function relative to staff supervised.
- →Incumbent will establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff, clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system.
- →Observes workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques.
- →Provides informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance.
- →Incumbent works to resolve informal complaints and grievances.
- →Develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary.
- →The incumbent provides advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters.
- →Invokes disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area.
- →Reviews and approves or disapproves leave requests.
- →Incumbent assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations.
- →Incumbent supervises employees to accomplish the work of the Geriatrics and Extended Care programs.
- →Exercises supervisor authority and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised.
- →Performs work related to the review, monitory analysis, planning and assessment of various Geriatric and Extended Care programs.
- →Responsible for key project activities related to the planning, development, and implementation of the project component.
Requirements
