This position is with the Fort Benning, Georgia Child & Youth Services (CYS) Child Development Center. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: At least 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a CYS Supervisory Program Specialist with responsibility for supervising CYS direct care staff (minimum of 8 ratios of children in a Child Development Center (Ages 0-5) or 6 ratios of children/youth in a School-Age Program or Youth.
- →Prepares work schedules to meet ratio and group size requirements. provides program oversight and accountability.
- →Monitors and analyzes adult/participant ratio sheets to ensure proper staffing to ensure children are supervised at all times.
- →Assists with recruitment and selection of caregiving staff utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions.
- →Supervises and evaluates employees based on established performance standards as required.
- →Ensures timely submission of personnel actions.
- →Assists directors and training specialist to plan, coordinate, and implement activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of children and youth.
- →Acts as Assistant Director or Director in their absence up to 20% of the time.
- →May work in additional CYS facilities for the purposes of providing management oversight for evening or weekend openings.
