This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO). The primary purpose of this position is to provide oversight of Department-wide asset management and logistics strategies, programs, and supports the Assets & Logistic Executive Director performing asset management and logistics policies analysis, development, and implementation. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →As a Supervisory Program Manager (Deputy Director), GS-0340-15, your typical work assignments may include: Provides leadership and oversight for the development, implementation, and integration of asset management and logistics strategies, policies, and programs across DHS, ensuring alignment with Department-wide goals and statutory requirements.
- →Directs and coordinates annual reviews of planning, cost allocations, and performance standards for Assets & Logistics organizational units; develops long-range support plans and recommendations to promote efficient use of real and personal property assets.
- →Develops, reviews, and implements asset management and logistics policies, regulations, and standards; facilitates the integration of DHS mission and vision into program goals, and ensures compliance with government-wide legislation and regulations.
- →Organizes, plans, directs, and supervises assigned staff; sets priorities, evaluates performance, provides guidance and feedback, identifies training needs, and manages recruitment, selection, and performance issues to build and maintain an effective workforce.
- →Serves as a liaison to internal and external managers and executives; responds to inquiries from Congress, OMB, GAO, Inspector Generals, GSA, media, and the public; leads meetings, forums, and studies to advance asset management and logistics initiatives.
