This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy, and Plans (PLCY), Counterterrorism & Homeland Threats (CTHT). Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Policy Analyst directing policy development related to DHS's use of biometrics and other identity verifcation and management techniques and technologies.
- →As a Supervisory Policy Analyst, GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include: Develops, coordinates and evaluates identity management, verification and/or intelligence policies, particularly those utilizing biometrics.
- →Works with DHS operational Components, program management offices and technical entities to align DHS capabilities to best mitigate identified threats and vulnerabilities.
- →Ensures policy and program development across the Department complies with relevant guidance, laws and reporting requirements.
- →Assesses the applicability of new and emerging biometric and identity management technologies to the DHS Mission while weighing potential privacy and civil liberties consequences of their adoption.
