This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy and Plans (PLCY), Counterterrorism & Homeland Threats (CTHT). Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Policy Analyst directing Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC) priorities.
- →As a Supervisory Policy Analyst, GS-0301-15, your typical work assignments may include: Conducts a wide variety of research, analysis, synopsis, and evaluation of information pertaining to Departmental policy and issues.
- →Expresses the Assistant Secretary's concerns and requests status of ongoing issues and notifies the appropriate team of the issues/problems discussed and follows up to ensure that action is completed within the prescribed time frames.
- →Expedites action as necessary by providing advice and assistance to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- →At the direction of the Assistant Secretary, assigns or arranges the preparation of briefing materials, talking points, executive summaries, and policy documents.
- →Communicates the Assistant Secretary's priorities and expectations to relevant PLCY teams.
- →Reviews the materials submitted for compliance with the Assistant Secretary's direction and is responsible for ensuring work is completed in a timely manner and that due dates are met.
