This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Responsible for assisting the Chief in the planning, directing, and supervising the activities of the emergency medical technicians assigned to the Emergency Medical Services.
What You'll Do
- →Supervises personnel in the application of emergency medical procedures and protocols used in the delivery of emergency care.
- →Directs the primary functions of emergency response, to include administering basic and advanced emergency care.
- →Ensures that the work of the section is organized and scheduled to assure expeditious handling of emergencies on assigned shift.
- →Establishes and provides necessary continuing education for emergency medical technicians and paramedics.
- →Schedules performance of routine maintenance on all vehicles by contacting appropriate personnel to ensure support is rendered on an expeditious basis.
- →Develops inspection checklists and conducts a formal monthly inspection of vehicles dispatched to Ambulance Section, Medical Department Activity (MEDDAC) elements.
