About the Role
Incumbent serves as the Chief Optometrist. In this role, the incumbent evaluates, develops, coordinates, and manages a comprehensive, high quality eye care program. Responsible for the administrative and technical direction of optometry services. Due to epidemiologic factors, the incumbent must possess advanced capabilities in diagnosing and managing ocular disease. What You'll Do
- →Responsible for providing direct quality optometry services.
- →Responsible for establishing and overseeing a comprehensive departmental Quality Assurance Performance Improvement program.
- →Responsible for the development and execution of departmental annual budgets, ensuring department supplies and equipment are ordered and purchased timely.
- →Assist leadership with ongoing assessment of optometry needs, and the planning and implementation of all programs within the optometry department.
Requirements
- ✓Selectee may be subject to a probationary period ESEP appointees typically serve a two year trial period U.S.
- ✓Citizenship is required Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children.

- ✓A one-year supervisory/managerial probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.
