Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, San Francisco Field Office, Area Port of San Francisco, located in San Franciso, California. What You'll Do
- →This position will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services to Customs and Border Protection management.
- →This position starts at a salary of $111,896.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $145,468.00 (GS-12, Step 10).
- →In this Supervisory Mission Support Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals providing advisory and technical services to management.
- →Typical work assignments include: Developing and prescribing procedures and techniques and furnishing policy guidance to subordinates, assigning and explaining work requirements to subordinate staff to achieve efficiency of services rendered while increasing productivity.
- →Adjusting work operations to meet priorities or changing programs or production requirements within available resources with minimum sacrifice of quantity and quality of work.
- →Resolving complaints and grievances not requiring referral to higher authority and making recommendations for solution of those referred to the next higher organizational level.
- →Directing on the job training for employees.
- →Carrying out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and program activities, communicating support of these policies to subordinates and encouraging active participation in EEO program activities and training.
