Organizational Location: These positions are located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of Human Capital, Human Resources Operation Center (HROC), in Irving, Texas. These are non-bargaining unit positions. Note: If selected, current ICE employees assigned to approved ICE alternate duty locations may be eligible to retain the alternate duty location in this position.

What You'll Do

  • As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist (Recruitment and Placement), you will perform the following duties: Providing Human Resources management advisory services to higher level managers and supervisors on areas of recruitment and placement.
  • Analyzing trends and forecast changes in workforce requirements that may impact future recruitment and placement procedures.
  • Developing action plans to improve productivity to meet human resources goals, objectives, and milestones.
  • Effectuating minor disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands and recommending other action in more serious cases.
  • Providing guidance and instruction to subordinate Human Resources Specialist on both work and administrative matters Supervising a group of Human Resources employees and providing technical guidance to subordinate staff.
