You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (EMPLOYEE BENEFITS) in the Civilian Benefits Center of OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS. What You'll Do
- →You will supervise a staff responsible for retirement and/or benefits advising and assisting as well as processing services for civilians throughout the Department of the Navy (DON) and United States Marine Corps (USMC).
- →You will provide expert advice and guidance on complex issues to subordinate staff, Office of Civilian Human Resources (OCHR) Operations leadership, and external DON and USMC customers.
- →You will interpret and implement higher level policies, guidelines and directives and develop and/or update Civilian Benefits Center (CBC) instructions, processes and procedures.
- →You will compose responses and write letters to customer inquiries for appropriate signature, and draft responses to Congressional Inquiries.
- →You will serve as a troubleshooter for complex retirement and benefits issues.
- →You will draft DON Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/ Common Business Processes (CBPs) as required.
- →You will support audits, assessments and assist visits, as required, by providing requested documentation and data, responding to inquiries, providing administrative support as necessary, and taking corrective action.
- →You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- →You will develop performance plans, evaluate performance, provide advice, counsel or instruct the team on both work and administrative matters, interview candidates for positions, and recommend appointment, promotion or reassignment to positions.
