About the Role

Join the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Shared Service Center! We're looking for talented professionals to help deliver solutions that support federal agencies nationwide. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist you will lead personnel processing and records management operations, provide technical and business oversight, advise agency leaders on HR operations, improve service delivery, and supervise staff supporting Federal customer agencies.

What You'll Do

  • Direct and oversee personnel action processing and employee records management operations to ensure compliance with Federal HR laws, regulations, policies, records management requirements, and privacy standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to staff, establish priorities, monitor workload distribution, evaluate performance, and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as the principal advisor to leadership, customer agencies, and stakeholders on personnel processing, records management, human resources systems, and related operational issues.
  • Analyze policy changes, operational risks, and program issues; develop corrective actions, standardized procedures, and workflow improvements to strengthen compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Manage reimbursable business operations, including negotiating service agreements, overseeing contract performance, monitoring budgets, supporting billing activities, and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve automated human capital management systems, business processes, and operational workflows supporting personnel processing and records management services.
  • Supervise and develop staff by assigning work, evaluating performance, resolving employee issues, identifying training needs, and ensuring effective use of resources to accomplish organizational objectives.
