As an Assistant Branch Head with the Manufacturing Applications Branch at NASA Langley Research Center, you will provide technical and operational leadership supporting fabrication and manufacturing services for Agency programs and projects. You will oversee branch operations, resources, personnel, equipment, and customer support while promoting safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations that advance NASA's mission.
What You'll Do
- →Provide technical guidance and administrative support to technicians and project teams while assisting with workforce development, training, and performance management.
- →Plan, prioritize, and oversee branch resources, workforce assignments, equipment utilization, and workload to support manufacturing operations and project objectives.
- →Coordinate with engineers, technicians, customers, contractors, and stakeholders to develop manufacturing solutions supporting Agency programs and projects.
- →Monitor manufacturing operations, facility readiness, and equipment capabilities while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
- →Ensure manufacturing activities comply with applicable safety, environmental, quality, and NASA policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
- →Provide technical and operational leadership supporting fabrication and manufacturing activities, ensuring products and services meet customer, program, quality, and schedule requirements.
- →Support strategic planning, budgeting, and acquisition activities for manufacturing equipment, facilities, and future branch capabilities.
- →Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.
