These Full-Time positions are located at the McChord Child Development Center (6wks-5yrs) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA. Morale Welfare & Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: Available to MWR CYS Regular and FLEX (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) For incentive information, please see additional information section.
What You'll Do
- →Supervises an assigned team consisting of up to twelve ratios children/youth comprised of direct care professionals and volunteers.
- →Serves as a first-level supervisor for assigned staff.
- →Conducts and review program evaluations of classroom and activity areas, identifying areas that need improvement, and establishing and implementing corrective action plans to address deficiencies within the prescribed timeframes.
- →May serve as the Manager on Duty assuming responsibilities and duties of the program Director or Assistant Director in their absence when assigned.
- →Works in conjunction with the Training Specialist and conducts written observations of assigned direct care professionals during all hours of operation and evaluates employees on established performance standards.
- →Resolves complaints related to personnel concerns; gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters; promotes and models safety, fitness, health, and nutrition practices.
