Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services, Workforce Care Directorate, located in Washington, DC. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to focus on all Communications inside WCD and to both the internal and external CBP customer along with their families.
- →The incumbent will plan, direct and manage communications activities to support CBP nationwide operations and program objectives.
- →This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →Major duties include: Developing and implementing a comprehensive system to ensure the efficient handling of information and resources within WCD through a multi-disciplinary approach to knowledge management and communication.
- →This approach will enable WCD to achieve organizational effectiveness by making the best use of knowledge and communication.
- →Serving as a representative for organization-wide communication strategies, materials, and programs, which support and promote agency, organizational, and program goals.
- →Developing and implementing communications plans for Workforce Care while also developing measures to determine the success of communications processes and plans.
- →Developing procedures and techniques and issuing policy guidance to subordinates, assign and explain work requirements to staff to achieve efficiency of services rendered while increasing productivity.

Requirements
