Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Boston Field office, Logan Airport Division located in Boston, MA.
What You'll Do
- →Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise to perform a full range of inspection, intelligence, analysis, examination, and regulatory enforcement activities of agricultural commodities in various environments.
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen Homeland Security by that protect America's homeland through the detection, interdiction, and apprehension of those who attempt to illegally enter or smuggle any person or contraband at the POEs; and to facilitate the orderly and efficient flow of legitimate trade.
- →This position starts at a salary of $120,548.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $156,715.00 (GS-13, Step 10).
- →Typical work assignments include: Supervising shift operations and overseeing the Agriculture Program with the Port of Entry (POE).
- →Resolving conflicts between CBP Agriculture Specialists, travelers or importing public considering requirements of laws, regulations, procedures and facts surrounding a particular situation.
- →Responding to and resolving technical and operational questions regarding the Agricultural function or operation supervised.
- →Providing guidance and training, communicating intelligence and enforcement information.
- →Maintaining security of CBP areas by assuring adherence to security guidelines and recommending penalties and/or disciplinary actions for violators.
Requirements
