Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, El Paso Sector, Mission Readiness Operations. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
What You'll Do
- →This position provides clerical support to an office supervisor or senior manager.
- →This position starts at a salary of $50,460.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $80,243.00 (GS-09, Step 10) .
- →The Staff Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to relieve the manager's workload and ensure smooth operation of the immediate office.
- →Duties and responsibilities include: Handling administrative matters and programmatic problems or referring technical matters to the appropriate office; screening calls and visitors to refer them to the appropriate staff or office; coordinating administrative projects of the office.
- →Coordinating planning for conferences; providing administrative guidance and assistance to subordinate organizations.
- →Preparing and/or reviewing all correspondence written for the manager ensuring high standards for clarity and conciseness; managing the manager's scheduled; exercising good judgement in scheduling meetings and conferences; making necessary arrangement for travel, meetings, and conferences.
- →Managing confidential information related to employees; coordinating labor related meetings, taking notes of proceedings.

Requirements
