About the Role

This position is located at Fort Riley, KS. Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.

What You'll Do

  • Provide support and assistance to CYS Youth Sports and Fitness Director in the area of fitness, volunteer coaches, and maintaining National Youth Sports Coaches Association training guidelines.
  • Supports the operation of intramural programs for youth and provides skill-building programs for children.
  • Assists coaches in practice procedures, operating an effective coach/parent meeting, sport-specific training, and parent relations.
  • Conducts practice and game visits as required for the purpose of providing support and assistance.
  • Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques.
  • Encourages participant interest, good sportsmanship, and safety.
  • Provides oversight and accountability for program participants in compliance with DoD, Army, and local policies, guidance, and standards.
  • Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of children and youth.
