About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: To perform professional counseling and addiction medicine treatment in support of patients with an alcohol and substance abuse diagnosis. What You'll Do
- →Use a broad range of professional knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relevant to the substance abuse program and addiction medicine outpatient program to conduct comprehensive substance abuse treatment of patients.
- →Applies complex rehabilitation principles to conduct comprehensive substance use evaluations.
- →Develops and implements comprehensive treatment plans.
- →Holds primary case management responsibility for implementing complex treatment plans, arranging for required services with other providers and/or outside resources as needed.
- →Documents case records consistent with clinical standards of care.
- →Develops and implements orientation and training for patients, medical staff, commanders and key unit personnel, supervisors, and in the community.
