About the Role
The Phoenix VA Medical Center is recruiting a Social Worker for their Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (PRRC) in the Mental Health Department. The Social Worker provides psychiatric services, training, and advocacy; implements treatment modalities; conducts assessments and diagnoses; performs mental status exams (MSE); evaluates risk and suspected abuse; provides counseling; and works with diverse populations.

- →Major duties include, but are not limited to: Provide evidence based psychotherapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy for depression (CBT-D) and/or insomnia (CBT-1), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), or Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression (IPT).
- →Provide consultation to PACT teams, professional staff within Phoenix VAMC, and community providers, concerning the behavioral health care needs of Veterans.
- →Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients.
Requirements
