The Post-9/11 Military 2VA (M2VA) Program Manager oversees all transition & coordination of care activities for Post 9/11 Service members and Veterans (SM/Vs) treated at the facility. Their health care & psychosocial problems & needs are complex & require a high degree of clinical oversight and creative problem solving. The Program Manager has programmatic responsibility & may have administrative responsibility for facility staff including nursing & social worker case managers.

- →VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Functions or Scope of Assigned Duties: The incumbent serves as the Point of Contact (POC) and Coordinator for the Post-9/11 M2VA program and assumes all of the technical & administrative responsibility for management of this program.
- →This includes but is not limited to: Program Management - Provides administrative oversight of the POST-9/11 M2VA Program to include planning, establishing, & implementing policies and procedures; developing program goals and objectives; and monitoring, operating, and evaluating functioning of the program.
- →Follows Veterans Health Administration (VHA) policy requirements & develops local systems to identify & track post 9/11 Service Members/Veterans (SM/Vs) served by the facility and community who belong in this special priority group.
- →Serves as the facility point of contact for all inquiries regarding transition of post 9/11 SM/Vs and as point of contact for post 9/11 SM/Vs seeking health care from the facility These duties include a wide variety of stakeholders (e.g., Veterans, families, state and community agencies, Veterans Service Organizations, military support programs etc.).
- →Incumbent addresses Congressional inquiries and Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Central Office action items as requested.
- →Coordinates comprehensive program elements and services for preventative mental and physical health evaluations for program participants.
- →Monitors procedures for referrals between the VA medical center, Military Treatment Facility and/or community hospitals that promote appropriate and timely inter-facility transfers.
- →Establishes performance and outcome standards for the facility POST -9/11 M2VA Program that promote quality and efficiency of services in coordination with the overall goals of the medical center and those of the VISN and VA Central Office, as well as evaluate and document the program's effectiveness.
- →Explores and analyzes community resources including family-friendly delivery systems.
- →Ensures veterans are referred to other organizations and community resources (i.e., housing alternatives, personal care services, transportation resources, etc. or other VA governmental resources) for services not available from the VHA facility.
- →Patient, Stakeholders, & Staff Education - Provides consultation to other staff on the special needs of Post 9/11 SM/Vs.
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
- →Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
