The VA Finger Lakes Health Care is currently recruiting for a full-time Social Worker located at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center in Canandaigua, New York. The Social Worker- Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program Coordinator (IPVAP-C) is administratively responsible for the clinical programming and daily operations of the program. Develops policies and procedures for program operation and prepares reports and statistics for facility, VISN, and national use.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent is based in the medical center and/or facility, with potential travel required to Rochester Outpatient Clinic (ROPC) in order to support real time, in person, response to referrals.
- →In addition, the incumbent must be a skilled communicator capable of developing effective partnerships with local, state and federal agencies as well as non-governmental organizations.
- →The duties of the position include but are not limited to the following: The incumbent may be responsible for the program's budget and various control points assigned to the program within the assigned areas.
- →Manages and controls the use of data related to these programs regarding day-to-day functioning and program evaluation.
- →In conjunction with the Service Chief, plans, organizes and directs administrative, operational, Veteran and personnel activities for the service.
- →The incumbent must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed by a state to practice at the advanced practice level.
- →The incumbent will function in support of Veterans, family members, and Caregivers throughout the medical center and in community settings.
- →Establishes partnerships with the Workplace Violence Prevention Committee, the Disruptive Behavior Committee, Employee Assistance Program and Employee Health Department to establish services for employees who are experience and/or use violence.
- →Requires advanced knowledge and understanding of the services and benefits available for Veterans, their family members, Caregivers, and VA employees from both federal, state and private sector resources.
- →Responsible for developing and establishing linkages and collaborates on VA Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program efforts with community healthcare and social service agencies.
- →The incumbent is administratively responsible and accountable for the clinical and program development and effectiveness of the facility Intimate Partner Violence Assistance Program.
- →Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
