About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at WRNMMC, Director for Mental Health, Department of Social Work Adult Medicine, Inpatient Social Work in Bethesda, Maryland. Parking at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center is limited, the use of commuting alternatives is recommended. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Collect bio-psychosocial information about patients using interview, case history, observation techniques, and assessment methods.
- →Provide individual and/or group psychotherapy.
- →Work with the multi-disciplinary team to develop disposition planning.
- →Function as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, presenting internal reports and participating in patient evaluation and treatment planning.
- →Evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments to patient's treatment plans as appropriate.
- →Utilize electronic health record systems to document and review patient data.
