About the Position: This position will be located in Directorate of Medical Services, Naval Medical Center, San Diego CA. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Advance in Hire may be authorized. This is available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Work with highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses.
- →Collect biopsychosocial information about patients through interview, case history, observation techniques, and other assessment methods.
- →Analyze information collected to identify symptoms and develop treatment plan.
- →Provide comprehensive social work services in the form of casework and case management by consulting on or developing discharge plans.
- →Provide individual, family, and group clinical counseling services using various evidenced based modalities as clinically indicated for adults and children.
- →Develop individualized treatment plans based on psychiatric diagnosis.
- →Provide emergency on-call crisis management services for behavioral health cases and all other social work needs as designated by the section or department needs.
