About the Position: This position is located within the Department of Emergency Medicine in the Madigan Army Medical Center at Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Screen and interview patients to conduct bio-psychosocial evaluations using expert knowledge of psychological counseling principles and practices.
- →Assess and manage crisis situations to ensure immediate and effective intervention for service members.
- →Deliver individual and group therapy using appropriate modalities, including brief problem-focused, cognitive-mental, and client-centered approaches.
- →Evaluate treatment effectiveness using objective, measurable outcomes to guide adjustments that enhance compliance and clinical efficacy.
- →Provide clinical and administrative guidance to paraprofessionals and trainees through observation, structured feedback, competency verification, and performance input.
- →Document patient care and treatment recommendations in the medical record within 72 hours of each clinical encounter to ensure timely and accurate communication.
