The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a staff analyst to plan, organize, review, and evaluate Air Force program integration in participation with Sensitive Activities within DoD. Responsible for prompt accurate review and coordination of unique and highly sensitive proposals requiring a vast knowledge of Air Force, DoD, Federal and nonfederal organizations, policies, and processes.
What You'll Do
- →Directly responsible to the Division Chief for daily management of assigned portfolio.
- →Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the assigned SAO portfolio, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- →Represents the SAO at Air Force, government organizations and other stakeholders meetings, working groups, conferences, etc.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with clients, management, co-workers, and staff analysts assigned to their portfolio.
- →As Senior Staff Analyst and subject matter expert, directs and organizes portfolio analytical input and prepares and presents high level briefings of conclusions, many being highly subjective and not readily susceptible to verification until actual operational situations are encountered.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Advises and provides counsel to staff analysts regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.

- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
- ✓This position is in the Excepted Service.
- ✓DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction 1400.25, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.
