About the Role
The Miami VA Healthcare Systems (MVHCS) is looking for Senior Social Worker (Mental Health & Behavioral Science Service) for the Key West Community-based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The Key West VA CBOC offers Audiology, Physical Therapy, Primary Medical and Mental Health, Psychiatry, Telehealth, and Social Work services.
What You'll Do
- →This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
- →You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
- →Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
- →Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Not Authorized Permanent Change of Station (Relocation Assistance): Not Authorized Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Authorized.
- →Former EDRP participants are not eligible to apply for EDRP.

- →The senior social worker provides psychosocial interventions and case management to the population served in the CBOC.
- →They work closely with the primary care and specialty medical and mental Health practitioners to provide needed services to the veterans served in the CBOC.
- →Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performs specialized treatment of complex medical or mental illness.
- →Incumbent incorporates complex multiple causation in differential diagnosis and treatment of veteran patients, including making psychosocial and psychiatric diagnoses within approved clinical privileges or scope of practice.
