This position is located in the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), Office of the Director of Administration and Management (DA&M), Special Access Program Central Office. DoW SAPCO safeguards the Department's most sensitive SAP information, technologies, and operations in compliance with EO 13526.
What You'll Do
- →DoW SAPCO manages the establishment, maintenance, and application of Special Access Program (SAP) protection to classified national security information in accordance with Executive Order 13526; to safeguard the Department of War's most sensitive classified information.
- →This includes the protection of information related to advanced systems, capabilities, technologies, and operations, ensuring they remain secure from adversary knowledge.
- →Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a Senior SAP Support Analyst, a recognized subject matter expert responsible for managing and analyzing highly sensitive and complex access, security, and information dissemination operations.
- →Serves as a Legislative Liaison Senior Advisor, and the point of contact for all inquiries from the Congressional Defense Committees and their members.
- →Provides Congressional communications, reports, document control, and the fielding of often urgent, short-suspense requests for information on DoW SAPs.
- →Demonstrates exceptional communication and organization skills, while dealing with Congressional Members and staff on sensitive issues, often under difficult circumstances.
- →Provides authoritative guidance to subordinate units and senior leadership, resolving the most complex, highly visible, and unprecedented security anomalies involving the transfer of critical national security information.
- →Provides expert guidance to industry partners on navigating the complex requirements for interacting with congressional and other governmental oversight organizations.
