About the Position: The incumbent serves as a Senior Operations Specialist in HQ USAFRICOM's J33 Current Operations Division. Leading crisis planning and coordinate support requests from components and JTFs. The incumbent provides subject matter expertise for operations and exercises within the Africa AOR, monitors regional activities, and maintains operational program oversight.
What You'll Do
- →Develop relevant plans and orders for the employment of assets by coordinating and staffing with AFRICOM Directorates, Components, and Sub-Unified Commands.
- →Coordinate the transfer and employment of assets to and within the USAFRICOM area of responsibility by liaising with other COCOMs and joint staff to support subordinate unit operations.
- →Integrate AFRICOM operational lines of effort with joint, interagency, and multinational partner operations to achieve Combatant Commander policy objectives.
- →Evaluate doctrinal studies concerning force structure in support of missions by identifying the impact on current operational doctrine and developing recommendations for response.
- →Brief senior leadership on recommendations and status/updates on operations and exercise.
