This position is in the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics, Existing Chemicals Risk Management and New Chemicals Risk Management Division. About: Office of Chemical Safety & Pollution Prevention This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).
What You'll Do
- →You will: Establish new regulatory approaches and develop uniform regulatory support infrastructure for the organizational unit to manage chemical risks under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
- →Advise stakeholders on chemical risk management issues to formulate and influence risk management policies, regulations, and products.
- →Plan, develop, manage a uniform regulatory support infrastructure to ensure consistent application of approaches/policies to work products.
- →Plan and conduct broad, long term policy analyses and make recommendations to decision makers to inform significant changes in program policy or direction.
- →One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
Requirements
- ✓#LI-DNI You must meet time-in-grade requirements no later than 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement.
- ✓This position is designated as High Risk and requires a background investigation.
- ✓Unless an appropriate background investigation is already on record with the Office of Personnel Management, you must undergo a background investigation.
- ✓All conditions of the pre-employment security process must be met before an official letter of employment can be issued with a report for duty date.
- ✓If you are selected, you will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure form within 30 days of your first day of employment and annually thereafter.
