As a Safety and Occupational Health Manager, you will serve as the principal safety and health manager for both Occupational Safety and Environmental Health programs.
What You'll Do
- →Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S.
- →Citizenship and Immigration Services, within the Office of Security and Integrity and is assigned based on the need of the agency.
- →Provides independent guidance on the implementation, development and management of industrial hygiene, occupational safety and health, fire protection, life safety, accessibility requirements, environmental compliance and public health programs.
- →Serves as an expert on industrial hygiene occupational safety and health, fire protection, life safety, accessibility requirements, environmental compliance and public health programs.
- →Advises other subject matter experts and key members of management within the agency of the findings.
- →Takes corrective actions to develop and implement measures to eliminate, mitigate or control safety and health hazards.
- →Independently organizes and administers industrial hygiene and occupational safety training and education activities both formal and informal.
Requirements
- ✓Conditions of Employment: You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
- ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
- ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
- ✓Basic Education Requirement: You must submit a copy of your college transcript(s) (unofficial is acceptable) to support the basic educational requirement or a list of coursework with hours completed.
