About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Arts and Crafts Center, Air Force Academy, Colorado. This position does not include benefits.
What You'll Do
- →Provides beginner and intermediate instruction for the woodworking and crafts program.
- →Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of the Wood Hobby Shop or Arts and Crafts.
- →Provides assistance to facility users by explaining function and features of equipment and recreational activities available.
- →Inspects facilities and equipment to ensure safe conditions and cleanliness.
- →Performs minor repairs and adjustments.
- →Issues and collects equipment.
- →Collects, safeguards and deposits fees received from customers.
- →Assists is conducting inventories, maintains records.
- →As necessary, demonstrates basic woodworking techniques used and ensures that safety rules are adhered to.
- →Checks building for security/fire and notifies Fire Department upon closing/securing the shop.
- →Assists in matting and framing, engraving and other areas of Skills Development.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
