What You'll Do
- →DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works as a Recreation Assistant (Ski Instructor) at the Edelweiss Lodge & Resort (EL&R), Hausberg Lodge instructing groups and individuals in daily and weekly ski and snowboard programs, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate to students who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds.
- →Teaches children as well as adults.
- →Teaches all courses using the PSIA American Teaching system.
- →The safety of the students must always be the number one priority.
- →Is responsible for ticket handling for groups of students and must maintain good internal control practices to keep track of these tickets.
- →Assists with program registration, tournaments, equipment issue, ski lift and snow making operations, shuttle driving duties, and cleaning duties.
- →Must be familiar with all programs offered by EL&R, as well as be familiar with the local area as the job requires providing a lot of information to guests.
- →Must always maintain a positive attitude around and towards guests in order to project a positive image for EL&R and it's programs.
- →Report any problems to the Ski School director as soon as possible to maintain a high-quality service to our guests.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- ✓High School graduate or equivalent.
- ✓All candidates (to include current employees) are required to include transcripts with their application package.
- ✓Failure to do so may result in an ineligible rating.
- ✓Only education from accredited and pre-accredited institutions will be accepted.
- ✓Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency in the United States.
