About the Role
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Aviano Fitness Center. This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy.
What You'll Do
- →Performs and/or assists other recreation/sports/fitness assistants or specialists in the operation and maintenance of indoor/outdoor recreation/fitness facilities/programs.
- →Establish events as well as rules and regulations to be observed.
- →Ensures facilities are properly set up for a particular event, including gymnasium and playing fields for sports events, tournaments, and practice games.
- →Other duties include but are not limited to the following: Set up & tear down to include dragging/marking recreation areas for scheduled activities.
- →Demonstrates and instructs participants in the use of various equipment and provides guidance and safety instructions.
- →Inspects facilities and equipment for security and general conditions; determines need for maintenance and repair.
- →Records and monitors attendance; takes reservations, payments and maintains financial documents.
- →Ensures adequate supplies are on hand to meet the needs of the operation and/or customers.
- →Maintain files for all equipment.
- →Notifies participants of schedule changes.
- →Assist in monitoring, maintaining and accounting for resale inventory and equipment.
- →Observes the condition and behavior of all patrons to ascertain any potential problems.
- →Resolves problems when appropriate.
- →Instructs, cautions, and/or expels patrons as appropriate IAW Facility guidelines.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
