Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Community Recreation, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); NBK Kitsap Bangor.
What You'll Do
- →Conducts inventory, maintains inventory controls and maintains equipment for proper accountability of program equipment and resources.
- →Assists in day-to-day administration of multiple programs to which assigned.
- →Tasks include submission of event after-action reports, patronage data collection and entering program data.
- →Performs community outreach Researches and provides information and referral for a variety of recreational opportunities for individuals/families on and off the base.
- →Responsibilities further entail the issuance of game equipment, general housekeeping, bowling program and program support Must be able to handle cash and operate a point of sale system.
- →Incumbent must be capable of driving a 15 passenger van Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- ✓Must have one-year practical work experience including direct customer service and handling cash utilizing a point-of-sale system.
- ✓Irregular working hours required to include early shift, late shift, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- ✓Must have and maintain a valid state drivers' license.
- ✓Must be over the age of 18.
- ✓Incumbent must pass all applicable records and background checks.
- ✓Incumbent must have or be able to obtain and maintain the following certifications within 90 days of hire: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid Certification Food Handler certification (where food is prepared) Alcohol safety training (where alcohol is served) There is no educational requirement for this position.
