About the position: This position is a Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) FLEX position located at Eglin AFB Fitness Center. This announcement is part of the NAF Hiring Event at CareerSource Okaloosa Walton located at 409 Racetrack Rd NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547 on 24 JUN 2026 from 0830-1400. Those who apply by June 17 may be scheduled for an interview the day of the hiring event. This is a temporary position not to exceed 30-Sep-2027
What You'll Do
- →Performs and/or assists in the operation and maintenance of indoor, outdoor, and fitness recreational programs.
- →Establishes events as well as rules and regulations to be observed.
- →Ensures facilities are properly set up for a particular event, including gymnasium and playing fields for sports events, tournaments, and practice games.
- →Demonstrates and instructs participants in the use of various equipment and provide guidance and safety instructions.
- →Inspects facilities and equipment for security and general conditions; determines need for maintenance and repair.
- →Other duties include but are not limited to the following: set up and tear down to include dragging and marking recreation areas for scheduled activities.
- →Records and monitors attendance; takes reservations; takes reservations, payments and maintains financial documents.
- →Notifies participants of schedule changes.
- →Assists in monitoring, maintaining and accounting for resale inventory and equipment.
- →Maintains files for all equipment.
- →Ensure adequate supplies are on hand to meet the needs of the operation and/or customers.
- →Observes the condition and behavior of all patrons to ascertain any potential problems.
- →Instructs, cautions, and/or expels patrons as appropriate IAW facility guidelines.
- →Resolves problems when appropriate.
Requirements
- ✓Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
- ✓This position does not allow for education substitution.
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
