This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Fitness Center. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, but may work up to 40hrs/week. Employees appointed to regular category positions are eligible for benefits.
What You'll Do
- →Performs a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of the day to day operation of JBSA-Lackland AFB Fitness Centers.
- →Serves as front desk attendant ensuring only authorized patrons use the facility and equipment, and adhere to Fitness Center policy.
- →Greets visitors, answers telephones, makes reservations for classes or use of equipment and facilities, and provides information on scheduled events and classes.
- →Issues sports equipment and completes required documentation for transactions.
- →Inspects returned equipment noting damage.
- →Reports damaged exercise equipment to supervisor.
- →Performs opening and closing procedures of facilities in accordance with written guidelines.
- →Maintains and prepares Fitness Center facilities, grounds and equipment for daily use, programs and special functions.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
- →Works under the supervision of the Supervisory Fitness and Sports Specialist or the Fitness and Sports Director.
