About the Role
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Bethel Park at Langley AFB, VA. This is a Temporary position, not to exceed 1 October 2026. This is a flexible position that is guaranteed 0 hours per week but can be scheduled up to 40 hours per week. The primary purpose of this position is to perform and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialist in the operation and maintenance of Bethel Park recreational areas.
What You'll Do
- →Assists with group activities.
- →Inspects outside areas daily and removes trash/debris from around all buildings and grounds associated with Bethel Park and assigned area.
- →Reports maintenance or construction needs to supervisor.
- →May perform minor repairs and/or adjustments to rental equipment upon return.
- →Records damaged equipment and reports to supervisor.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
- →Operates automated point of sales terminal; collecting, safeguarding and depositing fees received from customers.
- →Demonstrates basic equipment usage to patrons and ensures safety rules are adhered to.
- →Performs seasonal maintenance and upkeep of grounds and facilities, end-of-season preparation of facilities, equipment, boats, etc.
- →As directed, cleans and restocks restrooms.
