About the Position: Serves as the Installation Range Safety Officer and Assistant Range Officer with full authority to carry out all aspects of the Range Safety Program. Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 5 years by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.
What You'll Do
- →Works jointly with the Installation Range Officer and Range Operations Officer in the planning, development, and execution of safety programs.
- →Manages the Range Safety Program.
- →Ensures that installation range safety requirements are adhered to in the scheduling of range use, maintenance, modification, and installation of ranges, and use of training facilities.
- →Advises Commanders and Unit Training Officers on current and anticipated future policies, objectives, and programs as they pertain to range facility operations.
