About the Position: This position is with the US Army Installation Management Command, US Army Garrison Fort McCoy, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security located at Ft. McCoy, WI Fort McCoy is located in west-central Wisconsin, midway between Chicago and Minneapolis, just off Interstates 90 & 94. What You'll Do

  • Maintain a daily journal of pertinent information transmitted and received.
  • Provide guidance for Range Operations and Safety instructions, policy and procedures.
  • Conduct daily on-site surveys to ensure units are following range regulations.
  • Ensure unit training is being conducted in a safe manner.
  • Schedule range inspections with units based on training events posted on the Range Control daily activity calendar.
  • Ensure ranges, training areas and facilities are maintained and utilized according to the Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Conduct inspections when units have completed training.
  • Operates Range Control communication center.
  • Operates computer to input/retrieve data.
