About the Role

About the Position: This is a TERM position as a Range Operations Technician for the U.S. Army Support Activity, Training Division, Range Support Branch, Fort Eustis, Virginia. This is a TERM position not to exceed 2 years.

What You'll Do

  • As a Range Operations Technician, you will perform the following duties which is not all inclusive list: Serve as a Range Operations Technician responsible for scheduling and coordinating the use of the installation training ranges and facilities utilizing Range Facility Management Support System RFMSS.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing regulatory requirements involving range inspections procedures and range communications procedures.
  • Discuss with range safety officers the planning and setup of training exercises as they influence the daily schedule so that all operations can be conducted within acceptable hazard and damage limits.
  • Evaluate the seriousness of problems encountered in range safety matters and keeps the leadership informed of major problems and unusual work situations.
