About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Installation Management Command, Fort McCoy, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security located at Fort. McCoy, Wisconsin. Position is a TERM Appointment not to exceed six (6) years. May be extended in 1 year increments up to eight (8) years and my be converted to a permanent position without further competition. Must meet requirements to conversion to permanent.
What You'll Do
- →Operates computer to input/retrieve data.
- →Operates Range Control communication center.
- →Maintain a daily journal of pertinent information transmitted and received.
- →Provide guidance for Range Operations and Safety instructions, policy and procedures.
- →Conduct daily on-site surveys to ensure units are following range regulations.
- →Ensure unit training is being conducted in a safe manner.
- →Schedule range inspections with units based on training events posted on the Range Control daily activity calendar.
- →Ensure ranges, training areas and facilities are maintained and utilized according to the Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- →Conduct inspections when units have completed training.
